For Let's Degenerate, Red Planet and Gearhead Records pulled out all the stops, making this monster slab oÆwax the best it could be. Recorded in Seattle at Stone GossardÆs new Studio Litho with famed producer Kurt Bloch (Supersuckers/Fastbacks/Mudhoney/Nashville Pussy/Zeke etc.) who was the one man that could harness the bands famous stage energy on tape. The cover photos were done by David Perry, with art direction by Chris Imlay and Mike, who have worked together for 4 years now perfecting the Gearhead look, just as Red Planet have worked to perfect their sound. In the last year, the boys have been compared in print to everyone from Big Star, The Easybeats and the Real Kids to Van Halen, Def Leppard and The Dictators(!) but comparisons to The Boys, Buzzcocks, The Cars, Cheap Trick, The Only Ones, Redd Kross, The Replacements, Supergrass and Undertones are as valid as ever.
