Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 as a day for vinyl lovers—the staff, the customers, and the artists of records stores—to come together and celebrate independently run mom and pop shops. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances.

Metallica officially kicked off Record Store Day at Rasputin Music in San Francisco on April 19, 2008 and Record Store Day is now celebrated the third Saturday every April…..and AYP is excited to celebrate RSD15 this Saturday  — April 18th!

AYP’s doors will open this Saturday at 9 am.  We will have tons of music giveaways as well as merch from Steady Clothing, Tripp NYC, Only in Lancaster, Black Market Art Co, Low Brow Art Company, Lucky 13, & Helldorado!

20 Ramones Crosely Turntables will also be for sale – 1 per customer, and tons of limited edition vinyl.  Stores are only permitted to sell 20 turntables.  They are limited edition and will go FAST!!
